ALS EAGLE FLIGHT WINS AFA 'TEAM SPIRIT AWARD'

For the second time in a row, Eagle Flight has won the Airman Leadership School's Team Spirit Award, sponsored by the Frank Luke Chapter AFA.

Eleven members of Eagle Flight, ALS Class 08-4, which held graduation ceremonies March 25, 2008, received "Team Spirit Award" coins, and had the flight name engraved on a traveling plaque.

The award recognizes the flight winning the Amazing Race and the Drill Down competition, in addition to having the least number of uniform and disciplinary discrepancies.

Members include Douglas Allison (flight leader), Jenny Barta, Ruel Espinosa (Distinguished Graduate), Todd Glace, Jairo Gomez, Eric Hornaday (class first sergeant), Mitchell King, Gregory Puckett, Steven Saenz, David Smith and Peter Strutton (Distinguished Graduate).

Major award winners were:

Leadership Award - Charlton Dubose

Academic Achievement Award - Christopher Straub
