CHAPTER BENEFIT GOLF TOURNAMENT IS FRIDAY, MAY 9
The 9th AFA Benefit Golf Tournament will be held Friday morning, May 9, at Falcon Dunes Golf Course.
Registration begins at 6:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m.
GEICO's local representative John Nix once again is offering $10,000 cash for a hole-in-one at a selected par-3 hole. No one has yet won the top prize since this event began in 2000.
Already five major hole sponsors and several others have stepped forward:

Maricopa County Supervisor Max Wilson and Credit Union West have each donated fees for one team of four military players to participate, with their compliments.
Eight military teams and six civilian teams have signed up so far, along with some individual players for an expected total of 67 players.
Donated items for a special action following play include "A Night At The Ballgame" by Phoenix Suns organist Bobby Freeman; 2 player-autographed items from the Phoenix Coyotes; a player-autographed football from the Arizona Cardinals; 2 Diamondback tickets worth $125 each and 2 golf goodie bags from USA Today; a bag of special items from the City of Glendale Visitor Center; 5 certificates for free lube, oil, filter & inspection from Gemini Goodyear Service Center in Surprise; and meal coupons from Hole 'N One Restaurant in Sun City West, Golden Corral Restaurant in Surprise, Olive Garden and Red Lobster restaurants. More prizes are coming in all the time! The auction is open to players and visitors on the day of the event.
