BUCKEYE HS AMONG THREE ARIZONA SCHOOLS AWARDED AFA GRANTS

Ret. Lt. Col. Tom McClain, head of AFJROTC Sq 20061 at Buckeye High School, was among three teachers in Arizona, and 115 in 35 states, who received 2010 Educator Grants.

Other award recipients are Sandra Trevino of Buena HS in Sierra Vista and Terrance Stiff of Nogales HS, Nogales, Ariz.

The grants are designed to promote aerospace education activities in classrooms kindergarten through 12th grades.

The program encourages development of innovative aerospace activities within the prescribed curriculum, and also strives to help establish active relationships between the local AFA chapters and their local school systems.
