PHOTOS WANTED FOR VIETNAM VETERANS MEMORIAL

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Vund and FedEx are partnering to collect photos for all 58,261 veterans on The Wall. It's simple -- bring an original picture to any FedEx office location (office, not shipping-only center). They will scan your photo while you wait and hand the original back to you. If you don't have a photo yourself, spread the word; ask family, friends, neighbors; visit a local library; or request a call for action in your hometown newspaper. OPERATION HOMEFRONT FREEDOM WALK

The 2010 Operation Homefront of Arizona Freedom Walk will be held Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at Memorial Hall, 300 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix. The event reflects on lives lost on 9/11 and honors all veterans, past and present. Registration begins at 10:15 a.m., and the ceremony is at 11 a.m., with a 1-mile walk immediately following. A host of special guests and entertainers include the Firebird Young Marines and USMC Color Guard. Free t-shirts go to the first 100 registered walkers. Info: www.operationhomefront.net/Arizona.

CHAPTER MEMBERS WELCOME AT EXECUTIVE COUNCIL MEETINGS

All chapter members are invited to attend monthly meetings of the Chapter's Executive Council. The meetings are held at 4 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month in the Club Five Six's Barcelona Room. The next meeting is Thursday, Aug. 12. Info: 623-853-0495.
